The Third Annual Milwaukee Prostate Cancer Patient Summit is a free educational seminar for patients and caregivers — covering state-of-the-art treatment, clinical trials, and living well with prostate cancer. You and your guests are warmly invited.

The Summit

Empowering a community with knowledge and hope

You and your guests are invited to join us at the Brookfield Conference Center on Saturday, September 26, 2026 for a free educational seminar about the issues men with prostate cancer experience.

The Summit brings together local patients, caregivers, advocates and clinical leaders to increase awareness, educate, and empower the prostate cancer community with the latest health information. We expect more than 400 attendees this year.

Sessions cover state-of-the-art treatment options, clinical trials, and living well with the disease — giving patients and families accurate, up-to-date education and the chance to ask questions of leading experts.

Registration is required and space is limited. The program runs from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with breaks, exhibits, and lunch.

Dr. Deepak Kilari, MD

Program Co-Chair · Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin

Deepak Kilari, MD, is a medical oncologist at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin specializing in genitourinary cancers — including prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancer. As Program Co-Chair of the Milwaukee Prostate Cancer Patient Summit, he brings deep clinical and research expertise to the summit’s mission of advancing evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Dr. Charles J. Ryan

Dr. Charles J. Ryan, MD

Program Co-Chair · Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Charles J. Ryan, MD, is an internationally recognized genitourinary (GU) oncologist with expertise in the biology, treatment, and supportive care of men with prostate cancer. He earned a BA in Philosophy, magna cum laude, from Marquette University and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As faculty at UC San Francisco, he was named the Thomas Perkins Distinguished Professor in Cancer Research. He has received funding from the NIH, the Department of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation, and has published over 250 articles and chapters in the world’s leading medical journals.

He is author of The Virility Paradox and co-host of the podcast The Good News About Cancer — winner of Gold at the 2025 Davey Awards (Best Podcast: Health & Wellness) and Silver at the 2025 Anthem Awards. A past Chair of the NCI’s GU Steering Committee Prostate Cancer Task Force, he served as Director of Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation at the University of Minnesota (2018–2021) and as CEO of the Prostate Cancer Foundation (2021–2024). He sits on the Board of ZERO Prostate Cancer and sees patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and Middletown, New Jersey.
